First Visit

Our Consultations are always Complimentary!

We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This visit is compliementary and diagnostic photos will be taken to assess your orthodontic needs. This appointment is 60 minutes in length, and you will have a complete diagnosis and treatment plan by the end of the appointment.

During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions to cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.

  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  • Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

We ask that each potential patient to please bring their insurance information to this appointment so we can give our patients a fee quote based on their personalized treatment.

The next step after the initial visit would be to set up the appropriate appointments, which is usually diagnostic records. The records appointment is 30 minutes in length and consists of taking x-ray and impressions or study models. The third is usually 2-3 weeks after the records appointment and at this time we apply braces, which usually takes about 60 minutes, or the patient will receive their appliance.

We strive to make each appointment as informative as possible and we want to be thorough to meet the needs of our patients. When you call our office to schedule your New Patient appointment, we will direct you as to what important forms to bring with you, as those forms give us vital information for diagnostic treatment planning. Thank you for choosing our office to serve your orthodontic needs.
